The gear driven BS-350 is the perfect saw for cutting at 90 degrees or miter angles and has a 13.5 " maximum capacity . This saw has a dual angle head capable of cutting 0-60 degrees right and 0-45 degrees left, making it one of the most versatile saws on the market. The quick release allows the operator to change the miter angle in seconds. The BS-350M can operate in two different modes; manual or controlled descent. With this model band saw there is a controlled descent mode that allows you to control the rate at which the head drops through your material. When using the saw in manual mode, you activate the trigger and move the blade through the material by pulling down on the handle. The blade on this band saw is very heavy duty and is 1 inch wide by .035 inches thick. A dual blade guide system is incorporated on this band saw. Rollers followed by carbide pads are employed to add rigidity and beam strength to the saw, increasing the accuracy of the cuts. The saw also has a sturdy chip removal brush to remove any chips that may become lodged in the gullets of the band saw blade. This allows for maintaining a clean blade which provides for accurate cuts and prolonged blade life. The vice's width is adjustable and is equipped with a quick release feature to improve efficiency for longer runs. A heavy duty vice is standard on each band saw. The vice on this particular model opens up to 12.5 inches. Every band saw offered comes with a flood coolant system with a 1/8 hp motor driving the system.
